Worksheet Working Together
Our group discussed agreements on how to work together/collaborate with regard to time, listening, confidentiality, decision-making, participation, expectations, feedback, and roles. As we progress, we take note of every consideration and laid questions that will help us recognize terms that were meant to be agreed on. We guaranteed that every member is committed to doing the task with their full effort while maintaining a good relationship with their co-members. Our agreements make sure that all opinions are heard and discussed. And with these, all members learn to align their certain expectations and identify the quality that has been made upon the output.
Reflection:
As our group collaboration progress, it served as guidance on how I could manage certain teams that I would work with in the future. It gave me a glimpse of what a future-oriented organisation can look like and taught me the importance of such learning skills. As a team member, the point of having everyone’s opinion be heard and talked about is very important to me, and it gave me a goal to ensure that the future teams that I will hold will be entitled to that right. This will not only improve team collaboration but also motivate, and help our team members to recognize their strengths whilst ensuring the delivery of a high-quality output.
Team Charter
In groups, similarities and differences arise, with different opinions and suggestions piling up about the task. Our group focused on organizing our insights and compiled these in a document that serves as a charter for maintaining the group’s consistency and future reminders. We defined our strengths, weaknesses, core values, group norms, roles, metrix of success, standards of quality, and agreements for our guidelines. Most of our group’s strengths are working with html/css websites and being motivated to do so. In our core values, we highlighted different important factors such as ‘asking for feedback’, being ‘understanding’, ‘finishing the output’, and our ‘group’s happiness’. We set these standards for consistency, to provide clear expectations for the group, and for better communication and collaboration. We have different roles with different sets of responsibilities that we have to fulfill in order to determine if we’re all on the same page in creating our desired outcome while maintaining a good and productive work environment.
Reflection:
As a member of this team, I have observed that the amount of motivation increased, and everyone on the team is willing to help each other with no doubt in mind. Everyone was excited to start once we laid out our charter to success, and is deeply committed to finishing this output. With the collaboration that me and my team had in making the charter, it made me realize that I also wanted to establish that kind of process in my future teams before we work together in a project because as what I have observed, this boosts every member’s motivation.
Project Plan
For this task, we documented a project plan by specifying key elements like the project’s idea, goal, deliverables, non-deliverables, and constraints. The project plan functions as a comprehensive document, serving as a roadmap for the successful culmination of a project. It plays a vital role as a guiding tool for the team, offering a structured approach to attain objectives, allocate resources, and effectively manage risks. It acts as a reference point for stakeholders, ensuring alignment and active contribution for successful project completion. The completion of the task highlighted our collaborative effort, involving discussions to define project elements. Our effective communication and strategic thinking led to the development of a detailed project plan, showcasing essential teamwork and project management skills.
Our project addresses the challenge faced by students in the Netherlands in finding optimal deals on essential items through the creation of a user-friendly website. The idea originates from our commitment to empower students in making well-informed shopping decisions. The website we will be making serves as a comprehensive guide, offering a centralized resource to help students identify the best stores in their city. Our project aims to streamline shopping decisions, emphasizing efficiency and information.
Reflection:
This task deepened my understanding of the components required to formulate a project plan. I also gained awareness of the essential role a project plan plays in guiding a project team and ensuring the effective execution of the project. In future tasks, I can apply my knowledge of project planning to create more detailed and successful project plans for various endeavors. This may include: Research Projects, Software Development, or Product Development. I can employ the principles of organizing goals, timelines, tasks, resources, and milestones to create a comprehensive and well-structured project plan. The experience gained in this task will enhance my ability to effectively manage risks and allocate resources efficiently in future project management endeavors.
Personal Leadership
Class Attendance
The opportunity to complete my education has been very significant to me. The amount of dedication in attending every class shows my responsibility and commitment to my university and the importance of improving my personal leadership. My presence in every class is more than just showing up, rather, it provides me with an opportunity to enhance my self-esteem as well. I recognize steps and patterns that could help me with my personal growth. As I continually improve my decision-making while maintaining focus with a strong work mindset, this made me realize that I have greater opportunities ahead, not only in terms of employment and success but also concerning my well-being.
As someone who gives importance to my responsibilities and rights to education, I always make sure to listen and apply my knowledge from classes to every situation that I encounter. Mistakes, interactions, and words of wisdom that I have been through made huge progress for my personal leadership. I certainly believe that every piece of information has a significant use to it, even those that I have learned from years ago, that I could use to guide more opportunities to come my way. This has been a great contribution in helping me prepare for the world, for the people that I will meet, and for my future endeavors.
Personal Planning
I am a person who is detail-oriented and works with a plan, and as someone who recognizes the importance of having a goal and time management skills, personal planning is an essential for me. I prioritized making the design refinement, and the education (learning outcome) page, and I also made sure to allot a specific deadline for both so that I have enough time to finalize it. My work projects are done systematically because I hold my own schedule and priorities. These factors have a great contribution not only to the project itself but also in managing my personal leadership skills, and challenging the effectiveness of my plans. I hold myself accountable for my projects and I always keep in mind that I always learn something new every day that could benefit my current works-in-progress.
A personal plan keeps me up-to-date and reminds not only of my tasks for the day but also of the goals and responsibilities that I have as a professional. I am a very organized person and I always make plans that I could easily follow. This gave me a good understanding of multiple factors such as, the planning, design, development, and finalization phase, which served a greater purpose as all the tasks that I needed to accomplish are appropriately categorized. For future projects, utilizing personal planning would avoid any uncertainties regarding my tasks at hand. Efficiency, productivity, and overall effectiveness would increase while difficulties decrease.
Asking for Feedback
Feedbacks, especially from teachers, are great contributions to personal growth and it has made an impact on me that asking for other’s honest opinions made me more self-aware about my efforts, and in staying grounded. The amount of validation and recognition when asking for feedbacks are immeasurable because it varies from every time and effort that I give into a specific output. Constructive criticism promotes continuous development and embracing such kind of response shows my genuine commitment to improving my work whilst also focusing on the qualities that are necessary for being an effective leader for myself and my peers.
As someone who promotes having an open-communication culture with my team, I also wanted to have a transparent self-dialogue because it would help me recognize progress so far in my own point-of-view. Giving and receiving feedbacks are necessary as I learn to improve not only one’s work but also oneself. Continuously asking for feedback may seem difficult but it only shows the dedication to my work. Doing so could prepare myself in the corporate world where feedbacks are more harsh and professionals are blunt. I would then apply these lessons for me to gain courage of what has to come, prioritize acquiring feedback for quality assurance, and to open my mind to new perspectives.
Investigative Problem Solving
Project Report
The task requires the creation of a project report which is a detailed document that records the entire journey of a project. This report briefly summarizes the outcomes of systematic research, problem statement, and solution development within the defined project parameters. The project report serves as a tangible representation of collaborative efforts, highlighting skill in making relevant studies, employing effective strategies to address challenges, and critically evaluating data from a variety of sources.
Reflection:
Engaging in this task not only allows me to construct a project report but also fosters a proactive mindset. The report becomes a guiding template, offering a reflective roadmap for my future projects, enriched by insights gained from documenting the project’s journey. This iterative process enhances my ability to approach upcoming projects with a more informed and strategic perspective.
Peer Feedback
As a member of a group who practices having open communication with their peers, every time we get curious, we openly ask questions and discuss them with the group, and it has been a great help in understanding certain aspects that we need to work on. When I encounter problems in doing the website, I consult my peers and ask for their opinion, suggestions about my plans. Of course, I summarize my process for them to understand it thoroughly. But my curiosity remains, and I still ask questions as much as possible from start to finish to lessen mistakes and to make sure everything goes well. On the other hand, I answer their questions through a practical approach backed up with credible sources. This way, everyone’s progress would improve as well as their work process would be better than usual. Also, whenever they ask for feedback in their work, I always provide constructive criticisms as well as possible solutions that may help them on their way.
Reflection:
Throughout the process, asking for peer feedback made me realize the areas where I can enhance my work, open my mind to different approaches, and improve the quality of the output. It made me more flexible by viewing my progress from another perspective and made me try new things. I realized this thought as I was working on the tasks and focusing solely on my feedback won’t get me anywhere. When applying this to my future projects, I find it easier to remain open to criticism and develop good communication among my peers. And my curiosity would then help me give way to more opportunities in the future. Together, we have the same goal, and we understand each other well that’s why we committed into working together.

As I’m working on with html/css, I utilized my investigative problem-solving mindset to ensure the seamless functionality of my website. Of course, problems can happen anywhere at any time and I use a systematic approach to make sure my process was organized and easy to troubleshoot. Initially, I recognized and developed a keen sense of understanding of the user’s needs from the website. Challenges arose such as syntax and logical errors, UX and UI designs, etc. To solve these, I research, watch videos, and utilize my knowledge to solve these challenges. Then, curiosity swept through my mind and I formed questions that would initiate a deeper exploration of the user experience. I still ask for my peers’ feedback for additional ideas, and used different approaches such as critical thinking, and trial and error. In the process, I found credible sources that I considered as a guide in applying the most effective and latest techniques in web development.
Reflection:
Employing an investigative problem approach made me more flexible in terms of meeting certain expectations of the output. Critical thinking is another approach to identify patterns and assess potential solutions when there is a need for troubleshooting. I utilized other sources that could help me in completing the tasks, as well as asking others for suggestions. I also used different approaches: systematic approach for having an organized plan, critical thinking for complex analysis of solutions, and trial and error. Having this type of mindset allows me to remain curious for my future projects, and research extensively to have a deep sense of understanding about them. That way, it would improve my continuous learning as well as the overall quality of the output.

Emphasizing collaboration through a team charter, we’ll develop a prototype for stakeholder feedback. Importantly, our website is strictly informational, excluding direct sales functionality, and does not guarantee delivery costs or additional charges. This approach aligns with stakeholders' expectations, ensuring a seamless and transparent experience for users seeking information on the best stores for essential items.
Reflection:
I learned in the task the importance of actively considering stakeholders’ expectations and preferences. I realized that a successful project plan should not only address technical aspects but also align with the interests and requirements of those involved. This underscores the significance of targeted interaction for effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders throughout the project.

This reflects my commitment to considering stakeholders’ perspectives in projects.
